Im Rahmen der im Berliner Gorki Theater stattfindenden “Lernwerkstatt” wird in einer knappen Woche vor dem Konzert und unter der Leitung von Urs Hofer und Stefan Bischoff von TR51.org aus Luzern noch einmal etwas verfeinert, was sich die beiden Schweizer während eines halbjährigen Studienaufenthaltes in Chicago angefangen hatten:
Eine multimediale Neuzusammensetzung der Stadt Chicago als Surround Overkill, SCENIC PANNER.

Das Ding ist eine Sammlung von musikgesteuerten Rechnern, die auf drei Breitwandvideoleinwaenden urspruenglich ein vorbeifahrendes Panorama von Chicago erzeugen, was aus vielen Tausend Einzelelementen besteht, die von der Musik zusammengesetzt werden. Grosses Kino!

In diesem Falle wird das Panorama aus Berlinbildern zusammengesetzt werden.

_jayrope & Arik Hayut (Constanza Macras, Girls United, Monoblock) play a music controlled so-called SCENIC PANNER of Urs Hofer & Stefan Bischoff of tr51.org in Lucerne. The thing consisting out of a bunch of computers, flashmovies and several thousand single object images origonally from Chicago was developped during a half-year scholarship of the two on location and has put a panning virtual panorama of the city onto 3 large video beams. Extremely Surround – and the ingredients of the panner are controlled by the music.
