Rope: 21.07.06 back for 1 show
ROPE (Geist rec. artist of 1998-2001) is back for just one show at Berlin’s “Trompete” (known as the club/bar/restaurant of the locally well known actor Ben Becker) July 21 2006, 22h.
Rope supports Anticon rec. artists Alias that night, other artists included are Schege of the Tied & Tickled Trio aswell as Beatnik 74.
What does all this mean? Well. During last winter i suddenly got to the point of being totally fed up with all the so called future-anti-new weird-whatever folk scene.
I will discuss that in details later.
In any case i suddenly felt like reviving the noisy spirit of Rope, as this was my first attempt to free folk music from the pretty – started in 1996.
The upcoming show will be played by me and long-time Rope collaborator on chaos power drums, Nico Lippolis, whom i toured with extensively to Poland and Hong Kong 2000-2002.
